Agnethe Christensen, studied at the Royal Danish Conservatory and specialized in renaissance and medieval singing in Basel, Rome and Paris. She is well known for her unconventional interpretations of modern and classical works, folk and early vocal music. She has worked with many modern composers as well as with theatre, film music and opera. With the ensemble ULV she performs medieval Nordic ballads and sacred music. With ensemble ALBA she has made many CD recordings with early music

Gro Siri Ognøy Johansen has a diploma in Gregorian chant from Paris. She has performed with ensembles such as Dialogos, France and Musica Reservata, Venezuela and has recieved international prizes for this work. She has also worked at The Norwegian Theatre in Oslo. In 1998 she founded the Modus Center For Medieval Music and the Modus Ensemble in Oslo. She has produced and been taking part in numerous courses, concerts and festivals both in Norway and abroad.

Elizabeth Gaver began performing with Sequentia in 1992 and was a core member of the ensemble for many years. She has participated in many recordings with the ensemble, along with several music-drama productions. She now lives in Oslo, where she has performed and recorded with Modus, Pro Musica Antiqua Oslo, Barokkanerne, and The Norwegian Baroque Orchestra. She is a member of the Swedish trio ULV and plays hardingfele with the Norwegian traditional music ensemble Feleboga.

Björn Ross is a Swedish artist and producer living in Copenhagen. Being educated at The Royal Danish Art Academy in the 80's he has since exhibited extensively in many countries in Europe and North America. He is the organizer of Denmark's only festival for early music, Copenhagen Renaissance Music Festival, produces early baroque operas, such as Monteverdi's L’Orfeo in 2007, and works with stage settings and video, most recently for the dance performance Closer in 2008 with Åben Dans.

Laude Illustre is a visual concert with Italian Laude songs from the 13/14th c. and Norwegian folk music, set with moving images of stucco paintings in Nordic churches from the same period.
Laude Illustre's members is the singers Agnethe Christensen and Gro Siri Johansen, the fiddleplayer Elizabeth Gaver and the videoartist Björn Ross.

Laude Illustre is expressive imagery animating central biblical stories; sacred songs in the Tuscans own tounge and traditional Hardanger fiddle tunes from the Norwegian plateaus - a unique meeting between North and South.
